Real-world Observation Interviews (Ages 6-11) Copy

Conduct five real-world observation interviews with children in the 6-11 age range using the questionnaire below. These real-world observation interviews will enable you to immediately experience the characteristics and behavior of children that you learned about in the Week 1 course content. The interviews may be conducted in person, or by telephone, Zoom, Skype, or some other media type. Be sure to provide the interview questionnaire for the child’s parent(s) to review in advance of the interview, and to secure parental permission for each interview.

Save the completed questionnaires to your computer. You will use your research, observations, and responses the children provided during the interviews to write a three-page, double spaced observation paper describing the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual characteristics of the children interviewed. Compare your observations with the notes in your student manual and additional notes you took during the video class sessions as well as your research and the reading you completed in the Wholly Kids book. Your five completed questionnaires and your three-page observation paper will be submitted in Week 2 of this course.
