Defense Paper Assignment (Old Testament and the Epistles) Copy

Using the notes that you have taken as you have read and viewed the course content, write a paper discussing the relevance of specific passages in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 4:1-10, Deuteronomy 6:1-9, Deuteronomy 11:18-21, Deuteronomy 31:9-13, and Psalm 78:1-8) and the Epistles (Ephesians 1:1-3; 6:1-4, Colossians 1:1-2; 3:20-21 and Titus 1:6) to a theology of child conversion. Write at least one paragraph minimum for each passage. Each paragraph should be at least one-half page and approximately five sentences in length. Do not include your personal opinion about what we should be doing today in regards to teaching children. Simply explain what the passages teach. Use Hebrew and Greek words as given in class and explain their meaning. You will also want to include appropriate quotes or illustrations along with other supporting Scripture.

Requirements:

• Double-spaced, 10-12 point type (Times New Roman, Calibri,  Verdana, or Arial)
• Do not type out the Scripture portion.
• Pages must be numbered.
• Include in-text citations to denote when you are quoting a person or referring to a particular book or article. All quotes must be in quotation marks. If the quote is longer than 5 lines, it must be indented and single-spaced.
• Include at least one quote from a Christian leader to support your arguments (must be documented in-text).
• Include a bibliography page at the end of your paper.

This paper will be included as part of the complete paper defining and defending the theology of child conversion that will be submitted in Week 4.
