Originally introduced to CEF through CYIA and then the TCE course, Levi used the methods and philosophies to minister to children and teachers throughout Bible college. In 2012 he joined International Partnership Ministries as their International Children’s Evangelist, working with national pastors and their churches to help strengthen their children’s ministries.

Teaching Staff

Much of the course content for Progressive Methods of Child Evangelism is delivered through pre-recorded video sessions. The following instructors who teach on-campus classes for the Children’s Ministries Institute recorded various sessions for use in this online course.

B.S. Children’s Ministry, Calvary Bible CollegeDavid has been involved in ministry to children with Child Evangelism Fellowship® since 1972. David is a creative, gifted communicator whose expertise in working with both children and adults has been developed through hands-on experience as well as formal training. He has served as both a local director and state director, and trained children’s workers throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Canada, and the Middle East. David is currently a faculty member and facilities manager at the Children’s Ministries Institute® in Warrenton, Missouri where he trains leaders in children’s work. Dave enjoys gardening, helping people, and skiing.

Name: Lisa Deam

B.S. Children’s Ministry, Calvary Bible CollegeLisa Deam has been involved in children’s ministry since 1982. Before joining the Department of Education staff at Child Evangelism Fellowship® World Headquarters in 1997, she and her husband, Tim, were CEF® directors and state teacher trainers in Indiana. Over the years she has gained a wealth of experience in teaching children as well as training children’s workers throughout the USA, the Caribbean, and India. Presently, Lisa is a faculty member at the Children’s Ministries Institute® in Warrenton, Missouri where she trains others as well as teaches kids in a weekly after-school Good News Club®. In her free time, Lisa enjoys playing the piano as well as the flute, sewing, and making crafts. She also enjoys collecting teacups and hosting tea parties.

Name: Lynne Herlein

Lynne Herlein has served full time with Child Evangelism Fellowship since 1983. Besides serving as the Children’s Ministries Director for her local church, she has served with Child Evangelism Fellowship as a local director and leadership training instructor in Michigan, Missouri, and East and Central Africa. Since 1986, Lynne has been a part of the faculty of the Children’s Ministries Institute in the US and overseas. In 2011, Lynne began serving as the Director of the Children’s Ministries Institute. Lynne is passionate about training leaders to effectively reach children, having come to know the Lord as her Savior as a direct result of CEF ministries at age 5. Lynne enjoys playing the clarinet, reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends.

Name: Lynda Pongracz

Lynda Pongracz has served full time with Child Evangelism Fellowship since 1980. She worked with CEF in Pennsylvania and New York before joining the Department of Education at the International Headquarters in 1991. Lynda serves on the faculty of the Children’s Ministries Institute, has taught field courses across North America, and helped with training and launching new Institutes in South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Japan. Lynda was a contributing writer for the Children’s Ministry Resource Bible, has authored several Bible lessons for CEF Press, co-authored The Wonder Book, and is the project coordinator for the Wonder Devotional books. In 2010, Lynda became executive director of education for CEF. She oversees the institutes and other training programs around the world and supervises the Department of Education staff at headquarters. Lynda enjoys reading, visiting historic sites, computer games, and playing the marimba.

Before joining the Department of Education staff at Child Evangelism Fellowship® World Headquarters in 1997, he and his wife, Lisa, served as CEF® directors and state teacher trainers in Indiana. Over the years he has gained a wealth of experience in teaching children as well as training children’s workers throughout the USA, the Caribbean, and India. Presently, Tim is a faculty member at the Children’s Ministries Institute® in Warrenton, Missouri where he trains others as well as teaches kids in a weekly after-school Good News Club®. Tim serves in his church as a deacon and usher. His hobbies are collecting DVDs and reading books written by “the old dead guys” (Spurgeon, Moody, Murray & Tozer etc.).

Name: Pamela Martinez

Pam was introduced to Child Evangelism Fellowship® in1996 when she took Teaching Children Effectively Level 1. Three years later, Pam left her job in the corporate world and became a full-time missionary with CEF. Pam served as a local director before going to East/Central Africa to begin the ministry in Southern Sudan. Passionate about training others to reach the boys and girls, Pam enjoyed being a member of staff for the Leadership Training Institute (same as Children’s Ministries Institute®) in East/Central Africa. Pam enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
