Pre-course Activities Copy

There are several activities you will need to complete before the course begins. Each of these activities is key for your success as a student.

Activity 1: Update Profile
Please go to your profile and update any information that may have changed since the last time you took an online course. 

Activity 2: Order Course Materials
Course materials must be ordered early enough for them to be delivered to you before the course begins. USA students please allow two weeks for processing and shipping time. International students, please allow four-six weeks. See the Materials tab on the course home page for more details.

Activity 3: Secure a Proctor
You are required to plan and teach in a Party Club during Week 9 of this course. You will need to contact your assigned proctor to make arrangements for their observation of your Party Club. Your proctor will provide the feedback your online instructor needs to grade your Party Club assignment. See the Proctor/Practicum Information section of the course for more information.

Activity 4: Locate a Real-world Teaching Assignment Location
This course requires one teaching time with children in a real-world setting using the methods presented in this course. You must have a location available where you can teach an entire Party Club with children present during Week 9 of this course. See the Real-world Teaching Assignment section of the course for more details.

Note concerning real-world teaching assignments while social distancing requirements are in place: If it is not possible for you to complete your real-world teaching assignment in a face-to-face setting, you have the option of teaching children online, following the guidelines found in the Good News Across the Web Online Manual, found in the Course Planning Documents section of this course.
